Patrick Sulzgruber, Senior Physician at the Department of Medicine II, Clinical Division of Cardiology, has been appointed as one of four editors for the new edition of the renowned "ESC Handbook on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy". The handbook is published by Oxford University Press in cooperation with the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and is one of the most important international reference works in the field of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy.
The recommendations in the handbook are aligned with the current European Society of Cardiology Clinical Practice Guidelines and are based on the latest scientific findings in cardiovascular pharmacology and pharmacotherapy.
The new edition of the handbook offers comprehensive and practice-oriented information on the medical treatment of cardiovascular diseases. In addition to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, the work covers the pharmacotherapy of coronary heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias and structural heart disease. The aim is to provide physicians worldwide with an evidence-based foundation for the optimal medical care of their patients.
"Being appointed as an editor of this renowned reference work is a great honor for me and at the same time a significant responsibility. The rapid development in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy requires continuous updates - so we are committed to ensuring that the manual provides the latest evidence-based knowledge in a practice-oriented way," says Sulzgruber.
