As part of the MORE programme of Austrian universities, 40 asylum seekers and recognized refugees participated in German language courses at the Language Centre of the University of Salzburg. The end of the semester celebration included a small buffet. The programme will be continued in the summer term. Estrogen facilitates learning vocabulary. Salzburger researchers launch study on the influence of hormones on language processing.
In a collaborative project, linguists and neuroscientists at the University of Salzburg investigate the influence of hormones on how the brain processes information in learning language. The focus is the question of what role the female sex hormone estrogen plays in neurocognition of language. There is evidence that estrogen facilitates the learning vocabulary.Mehr erfahren
