Anmeldepflichtig Kostenpflichtig Termin vormerken Online workshop in English (2 Days) This interactive workshop explores creativity within qualitative research, helps identify opportunities to use creative methods and considers analysis in qualitative research with a specific focus on how to deal with data that is not textual, but comes out of creative methods. Attendees will be actively experimenting with sorting and making activities, such as "pick a card" or "diamond 9", and the process of creating representations. These activities and methods have been found particularly helpful in yielding rich qualitative data and thus provide a deeper insight into research participants' experiences. In the second session, we explore how to analyse "messy data". We consider the principles and processes of analysis within qualitative research and practise different analytical frameworks to compare the analyses of linear texts with those of visual/sensory data. By the end of the workshop, attendees will: * Have critical awareness of what creativity in qualitative research is and means * Have practical knowledge and personal experience of creative methods for data collection and analysis * Are able to critically evaluate the advantages and risks of using creative methods * Feel permitted to "experiment" and "try" in qualitative research.
