At this year's Formula Student competition held in the US State of Michigan, the TU Graz Racing Team achieved a sensational 2nd place in the overall class - and climbs up to 3rd place in the wold ranking. It was only in April that the TU Graz Racing Team had presented to the public its racing car for the 2016 season, which begins in the summer. Hardly four weeks later the previous year's model - the Tankia 2015 - put the competition in their place and achieved an overall second place in the fiercely contested Formula Student competition in Michigan before going into a well-earned retirement. The team even achieved first places in the Autocross and Endurance events. Strong competition in Michigan. The USA win means a lot to the team and sweetens the bitter aftertaste of the year before. In 2015 the team won first place but was then relegated to third place for formal reasons.
