Course lecturer Paul Baumgartner and student assistant Daniela Hell talking about the exercise course 'Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering' for first-semester students at Graz University of Technology. By Ute Wiedner - Many first-semester students start their studies at TU Graz with the exercise course "Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering". Paul Baumgartner and Daniela Hell explain in the interview why feedback counts more for them than the recently won State Prize for Teaching. A quarter of our first-semester students think they are not good enough at physics. Around 18 per cent believe that they are not good at mathematics. So many feel overwhelmed before they even start. We focus very much on picking up these students.
