In the coming winter semester, working students will be obliged to pay tuition fees at Austrian universities. TU Graz will award degree completion scholarships to working students according to defined criteria. In the coming winter semester, working students will be obliged to pay tuition fees at Austrian universities. After the obligation to pay tuition fees comes into force, TU Graz will award degree completion scholarships to working students to promote and support completion of the degree. Linked to an appropriate progress in their studies, self-employed or non-self-employed, working (gainfully employed) bachelor, master and doctoral students with an annual income of between 5,959.80 and 11,919.60 euros can apply for a grant worth 500 euros per semester. 'With this measure, we want to support our working students to complete their studies in a manageable period without further financial burden,' emphasised Detlef Heck, TU Graz Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. He added: 'Together with the University of Graz, we have endeavoured to establish a joint arrangement at the university location.
