While opportunities and requirements increase, criteria of research assessment are also being modified to better reward open practices. This workshop offers insights to theory and practice of Open Science, providing empirical data on developments in scholarly communication as well as examples for Open Science practices and to what extent these practices are acknowledged by communities, institutions and policies.
