Termin vormerken This Arqus Workshop provides insights into gender marking in different Slavic languages (Slovenian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian). It discusses the grammatical structure and lexis of the languages, as well as recent debates and changes in different societies that speak these languages. The first part of the workshop will include presentations of the current dynamics in modern Slavic languages. The second part will be a round table discussion on the role of these dynamics in teaching Slavic languages as foreign languages. Knowledge of a Slavic language is not a prerequisite, but an advantage.
