In the Summer Semester 2016, the Department of History will offer a lecture series on the issue of labor migration. Next Event: "Limited capacity? The European ban on recruitment of the 1970s", with Georg Stöger - 14 April, at 17:00, Hörsaal 380, Rudolfskai 42. Themen der Ringvorlesung befassen sich u.a. mit Arbeitsmigration in Europa, österreichischen Anwerbeabkommen mit der Türkei (1964) und Jugoslawien (1966), europäischen Anwerbestopps der 1970er Jahre, transnationaler Mobilität und multilokalen Beziehungsgeschichten, Erfahrungen jugoslawischer "Gastarbeiterinnen" in Österreich und slowenischer Frauen in den USA. Die ReferentInnen der Ringvorlesung sind Sylvia Hahn, Georg Stöger, Verena Lorber, alle Universität Salzburg, Marcel Berlinghoff, Universität Osnabrück, Karolina Novinscak Kölker, Sara Bernard, beide Universität Regensburg, Manfred Pfaffenthaler, Universität Graz, Mirjam Milhar'i? Hladnik, Slovenian Migration Institute, und Denis Scuto, Universität Luxemburg. Alle Infos: hier - Since 2002, the Chinese Studies Center at the University of Salzburg in cooperation with Eurasia-Pacific Uninet has annually organized the Chinese-Austrian-EU Summer School for students from Chinese member institutions and European Universities. The 15th Chinese-Austrian-EU Summer School will primarily take place in Salzburg, Vienna, Heidelberg, Reims, Bologna and Strasbourg from July 15 to August 13, 2016.
