Wilhelm Foissner has been awarded the Eduard-Reichenow-Medal at the Congress of the German Society for Protozoology. Interesting new findings about protist taxonomy and ecology were presented on four posters by members of the department. Wilhelm Foissner has been awarded the Eduard-Reichenow-Medal for his extraordinary contributions to protistology at the 35th annual congress of the German Society for Protozoology (DGP; http://www.protozoologie.de/) in Saignelégier, Switzerland, from February 23rd to 26th 2016 (photo).
