Univ.Asst. Dr. Paul Keckeis receives the Wendelin Schmidt-Dengler-Prize 2016 from the Austrian Society for German Studies (ÖGG) for his dissertation in the field of German Studies.

Die Auswahl der Preisträgerin/des Preisträgers erfolgt durch den Vorstand der ÖGG auf der Grundlage von Fachgutachten und wird den Repräsentanten des BMWF und der Kulturabteilung der Stadt Wien zur Kenntnis gebracht. Der Preis ist nach dem 2008 verstorbenen österreichischen Literaturwissenschaftler Wendelin Schmidt-Dengler benannt. Schmidt-Dengler war Vorstand des Instituts für Germanistik der Universität Wien, Leiter des Literaturarchivs der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek.

The University of Salzburg (Faculty of Communication Science) has offered an English-language Master’s degree in "Digital Communication Leadership" since October, 2016, jointly with the Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD ) iIs co-financed by the European Union with up to 15 scholarships awarded annually.
