Welcome to Salzburg: Incoming students from 30 countries welcomed

During this week’s Welcome Days, 93 incoming students from 30 different countries were welcomed by the International Office.

This wintersemester, the International Office of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences once again welcomed guest students from a total of 30 different countries with a varied programme: In addition to informative events, the students were treated to a visit to the Gollinger Waterfalls, a guided tour of the Hohen Salzburg Fortress and socialising in the Augustinerbräu. A total of 93 incoming students - including 3 Ernst Mach scholarship holders - will spend the next few months at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

Extensive programme & tandem learning

In addition to various icebreaker activities, the Welcome Days programme also includes important introductory events organised by OEAD Housing, the IT department, the ÖH FH Salzburg and the international degree programme coordinators to familiarise incoming students with the academic and organisational aspects of their stay at FH Salzburg.

With regard to the integration of incoming students, contact with regular students at the FH Salzburg is a very important part of their stay. This semester, the incoming students were once again accompanied by numerous buddy students, who, as regular students, provide them with advice and support and are able to gain important experience for their own future stay abroad.

The next few months will be an exciting and unique experience for the guest students. An enriching experience that will not only be an important foundation for their personal development, but also for their professional careers. We look forward to welcoming all’of them this wintersemester - have fun!
