Start of the ic Founder & Investor Talk Series 2019

The i²c Founder & Investor Talks enable the diverse audience to learn first-hand from experienced founders and investors.

They share lessons learned, dos and don’ts during their talks and answer the participants’ questions in interactive Q&A-sessions. The audience benefits from given tips and hints and gets valuable insights into the founder’s as well as the investor’s perspective. The talk series offers the possibility to network with like-minded people in relaxed atmosphere accompanied by some drinks. Videos from last year’s talks are available on the i²c Youtube-channel.

All talks will take place in Hrsaal EI 10 Fritz Paschke at TU Wien, Gußhausstraße 27-29, ground floor. Free entry but registration is necessary (Eventbrite).

  • FIRST TALK: F&I Talk #46 on March 6th with Wolfgang Platz (Tricentis)

    Wolfgang Platz, Co-Founder and CSO of Tricentis GmbH , starts the 8th season of the F&I Talks with his talk ’"...and then we were called a unicorn.’ - The 3 secrets to succeed as a start-up’. Wolfgang founded the Viennese company Tricentis in 2008 as a testing consultancy and laid the cornerstone for the development of the enterprise software testing product Tricentis Tosca and the success story of the company.

    In early 2017, Tricentis, which is also represented in the Silicon Valley, raised 154 million euros venture capital and in 2018, merged with the US competitor QASymphony, now employing more than 550 people. Today, Tricentis is the first Austrian unicorn (Note: companies with a market valuation of over $ 1 billion) according to the "State of the Startup & Venture Capital Landscape in DACH" report. Wolfgang will share his experiences and secrets to succeed as a start-up.

    The Innovation Incubation Center (i²c) is looking forward to many interested participants!

    Since seven years, the Innovation Incubation Center (i²c) organizes the Founder & Investor Talk Series, taking place every year during the summer semester. Last winter semester, the i²c launched an additional TU Wien Alumni Edition of this talk series and will continue with this special in winter semester 2019. Until then, during the summer semester, the Founder & Investor Talks take place as usual, welcoming experienced speakers who share their inspiring stories with the audience.
