Christoph von Hagke took up a geology professorship on the 1.10.2020 at the University of Salzburg.

Christoph von Hagke hat vorher an der RWTH Aachen, der Université des Antilles in Guadeloupe, am California Institute of Technology (Caltech) und am GFZ Potsdam geforscht. An der PLUS plant er, digitale Strukturgeologie und Thermochronologie zu verbinden und dazu zwei neue, teilweise vom Land Salzburg finanzierte Labors aufzubauen.
Christoph von Hagke zeichnet sich durch starke interdisziplinäre Forschung aus, was dieses Jahr mit dem Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award der Tectonics Division der European Geoscience Union ausgezeichnet wurde (https://www.egu.eu/awards-medal­s/division­-outstandi­ng-ecs-awa­rd/2020/ch­ristoph-vo­n-hagke/).

Since October 1st Christoph von Hagke has taken over the Professorship for Geology at PLUS. Christoph von Hagke had previously worked as researcher at RWTH Aachen University, the Université des Antilles (Guadeloupe, France), the California Institute of Technology (Caltech, USA) and at GFZ Potsdam (Germany).
At PLUS he plans to combine digital strucutral geology and themrochronology, and will build two new labs that have been partly funded by Land Salzburg.
Christoph von Hagke is known for his interdisciplinary research, which was this year awarded by the Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award der Tectonics Division der European Geoscience Union (https://www.egu.eu/awards-medal­s/division­-outstandi­ng-ecs-awa­rd/2020/ch­ristoph-vo­n-hagke/).
