’Homecoming Startups’ at the FH Salzburg invites you to talk, try out and discuss

Austria’s gaming industry is booming, a recently published study confirms. The highly trained game developers and start-ups from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences are also part of the upswing. On 20 November, the ’Homecoming Startups’ event invites you to immerse yourself in the world of multimedia and gaming startups. Innovation, gaming fun and creative realisation - all ’made by’ FH Salzburg!

The event ’Homecoming Startups - Pixel Playground’ combines the topics of gaming, VR, innovation and startups - all’areas in which the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) can score points both in education at the Department of Creative Technologies and in successful business startups. The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences trains numerous highly qualified graduates every year and thus makes a decisive contribution to strengthening the location and promoting future innovations.

The latest game projects from SUAS students and Austrian developers can be tried out at the event. ’This event is a great opportunity to experience the innovative power and creativity of the gaming scene in Salzburg up close,’ says Andreas Rissaweg, Senior Startup Manager and event organiser.

Play, try out, network

Visitors can look forward to the ’Pixel Playground’ in the foyer at Campus Urstein from 3 p.m., where they can test the latest game projects and immerse themselves in the world of gaming innovations. These include the recently released immersive XR escape game ’Escape Fake’ by Polycular. Visitors can also mix cocktails in virtual reality with ’Virtual Visions’, explore the surroundings as superhero ’Captain Carnage’ from Hoax Games or train their own e-gaming skills at the startup Aimcademy.

Innovators and their stories
