Many countries in the world and also Iraq have experienced vast economic crisis situations throughout the last two decades. Issues concerning the globalized financial ecomomy and the system of international public debts, are in constant interplay with factors of national concern such as productivity of domestic industries, employment rates and corruption. In our Research Symposium: "Response to economic crisis situations" we would like to discuss important themes related to these situations from various economic scientific perspectives. From these reflections, we would also like to gain experiences, which are useful for responding to the current economic crisis affected by the COVID-19 pandemics. The programme is organized by University of Mosul, TU Dortmund, University of Graz and supported by experts from University of Potsdam and University of Witten-Herdecke. Excellent young researchers from Mosul Universities’ economics department will introduce their latest research projects and discuss their methods and findings with distinguished experts from Germany.
