Flooding in Klosterneuburg

The heavy rainfall of the last few days has led to flooding in the Klosterneuburg area

The heavy rainfall of the last few days has led to flooding in the Klosterneuburg area. The situation on our Campus is under control.

Roads from and to Vienna are not passable and authorities have reached out to us to strongly advise everyone to stay at home.

We also ask all guests, visitors, and staff to not come to the Institute tomorrow, Monday Sept 16. There will be no shuttles services available. Employees responsible for critical infrastructure will be notified separately.

Events on Campus will be - if possible - held online or postponed.

The water level is expected to peak in the next 18 hours and we hope that the situation will ease quickly thereafter.

Should you have urgent questions, please. We ask for your understanding that right now we have to focus on the overall situation on Campus and will therefore not be able to address all questions immediately.

Here you will find the most important numbers for emergencies and further information by telephone:
Euro emergency call 112
Fire brigade 122
