Almost one in three is more passive in virtual meetings than in physical meetings There is still room for improvement in virtual meetings - this is the conclusion of the interdisciplinary research project COME - Cooperative Meetings at the University of Vienna. A successful meeting requires more than just the right technical equipment.

Female doctors generally rate the working conditions in primary care units (PCUs) highly. This is the result of a recent survey conducted by MedUni Vienna on work-life balance and satisfaction among female doctors working in primary care units. According to the study, there is a need to catch up in the areas of distribution of working hours and time for additional activities such as external teaching or further training.

Small-cell lung cancer is a particularly aggressive type of tumor with a consistently high mortality rate. In recent years, the research of scientists at MedUni Vienna's Department of Thoracic Surgery has significantly contributed to a better understanding and new therapeutic approaches in this malignant disease.

The Hertha Firnberg Fellowship was established by the FWF to support highly qualified young female researchers in their university careers.
