Description

Key Responsibilities of PhD candidates:

  • Conduct original research in one of our dynamic PhD programs.
  • Design and execute theoretical, basic, or clinical research experiments.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to contribute to scientific progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, clinicians, and industry partners to drive innovation and translate findings into practical applications.
  • Communicate research outcomes clearly through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and other relevant dissemination channels.
  • Participate in academic activities such as seminars, workshops, and scientific meetings to enhance your professional development and build a robust network.
  • Contribute to grant writing efforts and assist in securing funding to support research initiatives.
  • Engage actively in a growing scientific community that fosters innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

We encourage applications from qualified candidates worldwide. Applicants must hold a relevant master’s degree for their chosen PhD project and meet MedUni Vienna’s official admission criteria. Research experience or familiarity with specific methods may vary depending on the project. Candidates should have a strong academic or research background and a genuine interest in scientific inquiry. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required, as all programs are taught in English.
