We seek a motivated PhD Student to join Professor Jan Lünemann’s team within the Department of Neurology with Institute of Translational Neurology the University of Münster limited to 3 years.

Description

The candidate will study immunological effector mechanisms in neuro-inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis and in experimental animal models. The project will be closely associated with a trans-regional Collaborative Research Center CRC128 Multiple Sclerosis (Centers: Münster, Mainz, Munich, Bochum), ensuring high quality research and optimal networking both nationally and internationally.

The position is available from the earliest starting opportunity and is initially limited to 3 years. Funding for an extension is available and extensions will be negotiated depending on the progress of the project.

Requirements

We expect a strong interest and expertise in immunology. Previous experience in flow cytometry, immunological assays, protein biochemistry, neurobiology, and cell biology techniques as well as computational analyses will be helpful. The applicant should be willing to work independently, but also to be a team player and be willing to contribute to the team’s success.
