The Insti­tute for Inter­na­tional Marke­ting Manage­ment is currently inviting appli­ca­tions for a 30 hours/week Assis­tant Professor, non-­tenure track posi­tion (Univer­si­tät­sas­sis­tent/in post-doc, employee subject to the terms of the Collec­tive Bargai­ning Agree­ment for Univer­sity Staff - Ange­stellte/r gemäß Kollek­tiv­ver­trag für die Arbeit­nehmer/innen der Univer­si­täten; gross monthly salary, paid 14 times per year: Euro 3,711.10). This substi­tute employee posi­tion will be limited until December 31, 2019, star­ting on January 01, 2019 (commen­ce­ment date subject to change).

Please note that under the terms of the WU personnel deve­lop­ment plan, the posi­tion of Assis­tant Professor, non-­tenure track, is limited to an employ­ment period of not more than six years. Appli­cants who are already employed at WU as substi­tute employees can there­fore only be employed for the time remai­ning to complete the six-year period. Persons who have already been employed at WU in an Assis­tant Professor, non-­tenure track posi­tion cannot be re-em­ployed in this posi­tion at WU (except as a substi­tute employee) due to legal restric­tions.

Respon­si­bi­li­ties:
The Insti­tute for Inter­na­tional Marke­ting Manage­ment has a rese­arch and teaching focus on inter­na­tional stra­tegic manage­ment. In our rese­arch, we coope­rate with a well-esta­blished network of inter­na­tional scho­lars. We are looking for a self-­mo­ti­vated, highly active and produc­tive rese­ar­cher, who will be expected to make cont­ri­bu­tions to rese­arch, teaching and admi­nis­tra­tion.

Your Profile:

  • A doctoral degree or equi­va­lent quali­fi­ca­tion in marke­ting, busi­ness admi­nis­tra­tion or related disci­plines

  • A high stan­dard of English

  • Excel­lent skills in quali­ta­tive and quan­ti­ta­tive methods

  • Show a track rese­arch of publis­hing in high tier jour­nals

  • A strong inte­rest in academic rese­arch in the field of marke­ting

  • High overall moti­va­tion and ability to work in teams

In our rese­arch, we coope­rate with a well-esta­blished network of inter­na­tional scho­lars. We are looking for a self-­mo­ti­vated, highly active and produc­tive rese­ar­cher, who will be expected to make cont­ri­bu­tions to rese­arch, teaching and admi­nis­tra­tion.

The successful candi­date will provide teaching and admi­nis­tra­tive support to the IMM Insti­tute while pursuing an active program of academic rese­arch. English is the working language of the team. The candi­date will also be involved in other rese­arch projects.

The candi­date should have an inter­na­tional orien­ta­tion (living/working abroad, atten­ding inter­na­tional confe­rences, etc.).
