ISTA expresses its deep concern in light of the recent missile attack affecting the Weizmann Institute in Israel. Our institutions have been tightly connected through the BRIDGE research network since ISTA’s inception over 15 years ago, and we are profoundly affected by reports of the damage incurred at our esteemed partner institution. While the full extent of the impact is not yet known, our thoughts are with all those colleagues affected.
Any attack on an organization dedicated to research, science, and innovation is an attack on the shared pursuit of knowledge that transcends borders, ideologies, and conflict. Science thrives on global cooperation and openness, serving as one of humanity’s most impactful tools to address the complex challenges we face today, from climate change to health and security.
At ISTA, we reaffirm our strongest commitment to fostering a world where research, collaboration, and understanding are protected and valued. As an international community, we are committed to supporting all’our members, regardless of nationality, and we believe in promoting dialogue and understanding across all borders.
