Im Rahmen des ULG ,,Master of Arts in Syriac Theology" kommt Sebastian P. Brock aus Oxford zum ersten Mal nach Salzburg, um über die großen Syrischen Theologen der goldenen Zeit und über die Besonderheit der Syrischen Spiritualität zu lehren. Sebastian Brock ist weltweit wohl der bekannteste Syrologe und Experte des Syrischen Christentums und der profundeste Kenner Syrischer Literatur unter den Philologen, Theologen und Orientalisten.

Einladung

For the technical disciplines of the University of Salzburg a new laboratory building was built in the Itzling district. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in October 2014. Now the building shell is completed.

Estrogen facilitates learning vocabulary. Salzburger researchers launch study on the influence of hormones on language processing.

In a collaborative project, linguists and neuroscientists at the University of Salzburg investigate the influence of hormones on how the brain processes information in learning language. The focus is the question of what role the female sex hormone estrogen plays in neurocognition of language. There is evidence that estrogen facilitates the learning vocabulary.
